COMEDIAN ACTOR FILMMAKER KAGOOL
Who is Claire Ford?
Stage and screen, large and small, in the UK and not in the UK, in double act 'The Kagools', in single act as Dr Lara Love. She's no idea who she is.
What's she doing right now?
Silent but deadly
Claire is in physical comedy double act The Kagools, with long-time collaborator Nicky Wilkinson. In 2017 and 2018 they toured Australia, South-East Asia and the UK, performing at festivals and comedy clubs with their unique and bonkers shows. They won two prestigious comedy awards, at Adelaide Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe.
In 2019 their new show, Cirque Du Kagool tours Australia, UK and Edfringe. In April they won the Laughs of Launnie Audience award in Tasmania.
‘Brimming with wit and imagination... surely one of the outright funniest pieces of the entire festival’ ★★★★★

From Fanny to Terri
Claire Tweets and posts videos as ‘relationship guru and love healer’, Dr Lara Love. Ask her any love-related question on Twitter @DrLaraLove and you will probably regret it.
Alongside appearing in a range of scripted comedy roles, Claire also created her own multi character comedy series, 'Finding Fanny', which is about an early feminist named Fanny.
Several of Claire's other characters have made appearances online. 'Terri Skyler' a wannabe celebrity and WAG caught the attention of BBC producers, who cast Terri in their TV comedy pilot, 'Fat Pipes'.
Video, stills, writing
As a film-maker and presenter, Claire was asked to make behind the scenes documentary series 'The Awards Diaries' for the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She loved it and continues to make factual work on commission.
In Adelaide, Buxton and Edinburgh Festival Fringes in 2018, Claire performed her self penned show 'Unboxed'. A story about how, as a kid, her Dad showed her his cardboard box warehouse and exclaimed 'one day, all of this will be yours'. Review here
